The 1st Annual Holyoke Farmers' Market Cook-Off

The Holyoke Farmers’ Market is pleased to announce the first ever "Holyoke Farmers' Market Cook-Off". This event will be held on August 31, 2017 at 3:30 PM during our weekly market in front of City Hall.

The Farmers’ Market will have special hours on August 31, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in order to accommodate the event and make it more accessible to those that work and live in the downtown area.

This year we will have Mayor Alex Morse, Police Chief James Neiswanger, Fire Chief John Pond and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stephen Zrike battle each other out to see who gets the title of "best chef". The winner will be decided by a panel of three local judges, State Rep. Aaron Vega, Nuestras Raices Chef Neftali Duran, and Ada Fernandez owner of Fernandez Restaurant.

Each week the Holyoke Farmers' Market delivers fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables to hundreds of people, not only from Holyoke, but around the area. Our aim with this event is to shine a light on what we do and what we offer and we hope to make this "Cook-Off" an annual celebration.
