Holyoke Teen Pregnancy Prevention Task Force Celebrates Achievements

The Holyoke Adolescent Sexual Health and Pregnancy Prevention Accountability Committee, otherwise known as HASHPPAC, will be holding an event tonight, May 4th, in the Holyoke Public Library.

From 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm, HASHPPAC will be providing a powerpoint presentation on the past five years of the committee’s work to a number of agencies, elected officials, and organizations in the city. A video of interviews from youth in Holyoke will also be played on the importance of sex education and working on preventing teen pregnancy.

Additionally, Mayor Alex B. Morse will be presenting a proclamation on behalf of National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month and Mr. Luis Soria, the Chief Academic Officer for the Holyoke Public Schools, will be speaking on the schools' efforts to keep sex education in the community.

This event is open to the media.
