Holyoke Mayor to Present Proclamation for National Sikh Day


Mayor Alex B. Morse invites the public to join him in presenting a proclamation in honor of National Sikh Day in the City of Holyoke on Thursday, May 9th at 5:00 pm in the Mayor’s Office at City Hall.

Vaisahki, a holiday held on April 14th, marks the establishment of the Khalsa, which is the collective body of baptized Sikhs.

Joining Mayor Morse in remarks will be State Representative Aaron Vega and various members of the Sikh Community including the local leader of the Holyoke Sikh community and owner of Dino’s Pizza, Guruninder Singh Dhaliwal.

At 6:00 pm, Dino’s Pizza will have snacks and refreshments after the event for the public.
