Mayor Morse Seeks Volunteers for Citizens Advisory Council

Do you want a voice in how the City of Holyoke allocates nearly $1,000,000 in federal funding? Are you passionate about your community? Willing to volunteer your time by participating in five meetings over the next few months?

Mayor Alex B. Morse and the City of Holyoke Office for Community Development are seeking volunteers to serve on the Citizens Advisory Council - a group of volunteers who provide voices to low and moderate income persons and neighborhoods in the City of Holyoke.The Citizens Advisory Council reviews Community Development Block Grant Proposals and makes funding recommendations to the Mayor on behalf of Holyoke's citizens.

CAC members may be residents, business owners, neighborhood representatives, public housing residents, or service providers working with low/moderate income clients. Members of under-represented groups in local government (i.e.- elderly, Veterans, disabled, Latino) are encouraged to apply.
