Mayor Morse Seeks Volunteers to Participate in Mayor’s City Wide Clean Up

Mayor Alex B. Morse is seeking organizations, businesses, and individuals to participate in the Mayor’s City Wide Clean Up scheduled for Saturday, May 21st from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Residents, neighborhoods, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to organize teams and can choose a location they would like to clean, or one can be assigned by the City. The City will also be designating the trash pick up areas. Bringing your own supplies (trash bags, gloves, etc.) is encouraged.

Mayor Morse looks forward to this event every year. “What makes the City Wide Clean Up Day so great is knowing that when residents come to clean these streets, they are doing a service for their entire community and showing the pride they have for Holyoke. I’d like to thank United Water for donating the pizza for our participants and the Department of Public Works for their efforts in helping the city look its best”.

Please RSVP so that we can properly prepare and provide participants with the necessary equipment. Residents, pizza and light refreshments will follow at Heritage State Park!

RSVP to Heather Ducharme in the Mayor’s Office at 413-322-5510 or by ducharmeh@holyoke.org.
