Holyoke Veterans’ Services Becomes Commemorative Partner with U.S. Vietnam War Commemoration

On Wednesday, April 27th at 2:00 PM in the Mayor’s Office at Holyoke City Hall, Mayor Alex Morse will be joined by the city’s Veterans’ Services Department as well as Delfo Barabani Jr., President of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 111 to celebrate the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.

The Veterans’ Services department at city hall was awarded a proclamation by President Barack Obama declaring May 28, 2012 through November 11, 2025 as the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. This is a thirteen year program to honor and give thanks to those who served in a significant and difficult time in our nation’s history.
