Holyoke Police to Hold “Drug Take-Back Day” on Saturday, April 30th, 2016

The Holyoke Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, will be holding a prescription drug take-back day on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Personnel will be available in the lobby of the Holyoke Police Department, located at 138 Appleton Street, Holyoke, to accept your unused or unwanted prescription drugs.
Residents should turn in their unused prescription drugs because:
  • Children and animals could be poisoned if they find and swallow drugs.
  • Drugs can be scavenged and illegally sold.
  • Unused pharmaceuticals are environmental toxins; flushing them down the toilet or sink can release them into our drinking water and soil.

For additional information, and a list of accepted prescription drugs, please refer to www.dea.gov

Have questions? Call The Holyoke Police Department @ 413-322-6900 or The DEA @ 1-800-882-9539.
