PAM Project to Engage and Survey Holyoke Residents

The Participatory Asset Mapping (PAM) Partners are excited to announce the launch of the PAM Project and survey. Participatory Asset Mapping (PAM) is a way to amplify the voices of residents and identify community strengths and challenges. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and is anonymous.

The survey is available in English and Spanish. It can be taken online: pamholyoke.org or during an upcoming community event. Event information is posted regularly to the PAM Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PAMholyoke/?ref=hl

The survey can also be taken at the Holyoke YMCA, 171 Pine St, Holyoke, MA.
The survey features questions about residents’ values, goals, and concerns. Information collected by the PAM project will help inform the efforts of PAM Partners and other organizations and actors working to improve Holyoke and engage its residents. Individuals who take the survey can enter a raffle to win $100.

PAM is also organizing a photo contest. Any individual can submit a photo of what they value most about Holyoke and could win the grand prize of $75. To enter, individuals should email their photo to pamholyoke@gmail.com by April 4, 2016.

The PAM project is being carried out in partnership with several community stakeholders and is funded by the UMass Public Service Endowment Grant. The PAM Partners are: Apostolic Christian Church, Enlace de Familias, The Greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce , The Greater Holyoke YMCA, Holyoke Community College CommITTED Club, Holyoke Council On Aging, Holyoke Housing Authority, Holyoke Human Rights Commission, Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative, Iglesia Apostolica Cristiana de Bethsaida, Inc., Kelly Full Service Community School, Nuestra Raices, Inc., Providence Ministries Service Network, Nueva Esperanza, Inc., Olde Holyoke Development Corporation, and UMass Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning.
