Eversource Energy Brings School Programs to Western MA

The Eversource Challenge and the Change a Light, Change the World Fundraiser are designed to help school children learn about conserving energy in their daily lives.

Students in Agawam, Amherst, Ashfield, Becket, Bernardston, Blandford, Buckland, Cheshire, Chester, Chesterfield, Chicopee, Colrain, Conway, Cummington, Dalton, Deerfield, Easthampton, Erving, Feeding Hills, Gill, Granville, Greenfield, Hadley, Hatfield, Hinsdale, Holyoke, Huntington, Indian Orchard, Lake Pleasant, Lanesborough, Lee, Lenox Dale, Leverett, Leyden, Longmeadow, Ludlow, Middlefield, Montague, Northfield, Otis, Pelham, Pittsfield, Plainfield, Richmond, Russell, Sandisfield, Savoy, Shattuckville, Shelburne Falls, Southampton, Southwick, Springfield, Stockbridge, Sunderland, Turners Falls, Tyringham, Westhampton, West Springfield, Westfield, Whately, Windsor, Woronoco, Worthington, MA are eligible to participate in both programs.

The Eversource Challenge gives students in K-12 the opportunity to showcase their energy knowledge through various age-appropriate assignments. Students are showing off their knowledge from posters to energy efficiency action plans for the chance to be recognized by Eversource Energy and win some fun prizes. Registration is open now until Friday, February 19, 2016.

The Change a Light, Change the World Fundraiser is a fundraiser where schools in Eversource electric communities sell energy-efficient products and keep 100% of the proceeds. Students in first through twelfth grade learn the importance of energy efficiency while providing schools an opportunity to raise a significant amount of money.
