Volunteers Needed to Expand Hours of Operation at the Holyoke Career Closet


The Holyoke Career Closet is a collaborative program between Providence Ministries Service Network and Holyoke Community College. The Career Closet provides eligible individuals with interview-appropriate clothing for a scheduled job interview, internship, externship, work study, CO-OP, practicum, etc. This service is free-of-charge and individuals keep the clothing. The program invites individuals who receive the job following the interview to return to receive additional professional clothing. The Career Closet receives referrals from Holyoke Community College faculty, staff, administration, as well as, many community partner agencies and organizations.


The Closet operates solely by the assistance of volunteers and donations. Currently, the Holyoke Career Closet is open 15 hours per week. We are seeking volunteers to fill unpaid positions of Merchandiser and Assistant Merchandiser in order to expand hours of operation and be able to conduct an increased amount of fittings to help individuals in need.
